Job summary

CSN is seeking part-time instructors to teach English ENG 100-102 and Academic and Life Skills ALS 101 through the Jumpstart Program at a Clark County School District high school. Courses are delivered with CSN standards and require Canvas-based instruction.

Applicants must hold a master's degree in English or related field (or ALS-qualified) and will be evaluated for CSN Student Services knowledge. Compensation is $1,000 per class per semester.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in English, Linguistics, Creative Writing, Literature, Rhetoric and Composition, Technical Writing; OR a Master's with at least 18 graduate semester credits in the teaching field.
• ALS Courses: Master's degree in Education, Counseling, Educational Psychology, Student Personnel Services, or Educational Leadership from a regionally accredited college or university.
• Working knowledge of CSN Student Services.

Responsibilities

• Teach ENG 100, ENG 101, ENG 102, and/or ALS 101 at CCSD high school.
• Submit course syllabi to CSN English Dual Enrollment Coordinator at the beginning of each semester.
• Use CANVAS to deliver course content and manage student learning.
• Meet course learning outcomes and uphold college-level standards.
• Submit final grades by deadlines and communicate important CSN dates to students.
