Job summary

Kansas Endoscopy in Wichita, Kansas is seeking a Part-Time Registered Nurse (RN) to join our outpatient endoscopy team. You will provide compassionate nursing care throughout the patient’s endoscopy experience, support pre-procedure assessments, and assist with anesthesia and recovery in a fast-paced clinical setting.

The ideal candidate holds a Kansas RN license, with current BLS and ACLS certifications, and experience in endoscopy, GI, PACU, or ambulatory surgery.

Qualifications

• Current Kansas Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
• Current BLS certification.
• ACLS certification (or willingness to obtain, if applicable).
• Previous nursing experience preferred.
• Endoscopy, GI, procedural, PACU, or ambulatory surgery experience is a plus.
• Strong assessment, communication, and critical-thinking skills.
• Positive attitude and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Commitment to providing excellent patient care and maintaining a professional environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, individualized nursing care to patients throughout their endoscopy experience.
• Perform pre-procedure assessments and patient preparation.
• Monitor patients during procedures and administer medications as ordered.
• Provide post-anesthesia and post-procedure monitoring and recovery care.
• Assess and document patient conditions, vital signs, and nursing interventions.
• Collaborate with physicians, anesthesia providers, and other clinical team members.
• Maintain patient safety and adhere to infection prevention and clinical standards.
• Educate patients and families regarding procedures, discharge instructions, and follow-up care.
