Applicants may need to begin teaching on short notice at CSU Dominguez Hills in Carson (Dominguez Hills). You will teach EMT courses, participate in curriculum development, and support student outcomes while promoting diversity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree and two years of professional experience as a Paramedic OR
• An Associate degree and six years of professional experience as a Paramedic
• Strong teaching experience in EMT field
• Experience in curriculum development, revision, and assessing student learning outcomes
• Preference for college/university teaching experience and evidence of strong teaching practices
• Experience teaching diverse student populations
• Instructor for AHA BLS and PALS
• 40 hours of instructional methodology training (e.g., Firefighter 1a/1b)

Responsibilities

• Serve as an EMT instructor and teach assigned courses in the EMT program
• Contribute to curriculum planning and program delivery
• Assess student learning outcomes and participate in program review
