Job summary

Ascension's Wamego Health Center Emergency Department invites a physician to join an established team of 7 physicians and 3 APPs in a part-time capacity. This role offers exposure to 24/7 emergency care with on-site imaging and labs, and the support of a robust health system network.

The position requires MD/DO, Kansas medical licensure, and board certification or eligibility in Emergency Medicine. CMEs offered; generous benefits and nonprofit system resources available.

Qualifications

• Must hold MD or DO degree.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine.
• Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Kansas Board of Healing Arts prior to hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely, high-quality emergency medical care to patients of all ages.
• Evaluate, diagnose and manage acute illness and injuries in the ED.
• Stabilize patients and coordinate transfers to higher levels of care as needed.
• Perform emergency procedures as clinically indicated.
• Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation.
