Job summary

Seventh Dimension LLC in San Diego is seeking a part-time Special Operations Combatives Instructor to deliver advanced combatives and mindset-focused physical training for Naval Special Warfare personnel and candidates. You will develop curriculum progression plans, maintain training continuity, and coordinate with government training staff to ensure alignment with approved doctrine while maintaining safety and readiness.

Travel may total four one-week trips annually.

Qualifications

• US citizen and able to obtain/maintain a Secret clearance.
• Active U.S. driver’s license.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Clear and effective verbal and written communication.
• Minimum five (5) years teaching combatives to Special Operations Forces.
• Minimum five (5) years in at least four disciplines: Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Wrestling, Boxing, Judo, Kickboxing, Muay Thai.
• Experience across Standup, Transition, and Groundwork phases.
• Minimum ten (10) years teaching or coaching combatives at various levels.

Responsibilities

• Deliver combatives instruction.
• Conduct training for candidates and staff members.
• Teach combatives stance and footwork fundamentals.
• Instruct clinch, takedown, takedown defense, and wall-control techniques.
• Teach ground techniques and concepts.
• Develop and submit quarterly training progression plans.
• Support professional development and sustainment training events.
• Coordinate with Government training personnel to maintain curriculum alignment.
• Implement approved tactics, techniques, and procedures into training programs.
• Participate in validation and program review activities.
• Maintain contractor manpower reporting requirements.
• Ensure safe execution of all training events.
