Job summary

Think Academy US is seeking a part-time Math Teaching Assistant to support elementary math instruction in Bellevue, Washington. You will work with teachers to prepare materials, assist students, provide feedback, and communicate with parents.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent, strong communication and interpersonal skills, patience, flexibility, and teamwork. Mandarin is a big plus. The position starts at the end of July, offers about $20 per hour for 15–20 hours per week.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework in education preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, flexibility and a passion for working with children.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers and staff.
• Mandarin speaking is a big plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist the lead teacher in preparing and organizing instructional materials.
• Support classroom management by reinforcing positive behavior and addressing challenges.
• Provide one-on-one or small group help to students needing extra practice.
• Foster a nurturing and inclusive atmosphere to encourage participation.
• Implement engaging activities that align with math objectives.
• Update shared folders with class materials for parents.
• Assist in assessing students’ progress and maintaining records.
• Communicate with teachers, parents, and administrators.
• Help maintain a safe, organized classroom and prepare displays.
