SOWELA invites applications for an Adjunct Instructor - Electrical Apprenticeship in Lake Charles, LA. You will teach courses aligned with the approved catalog, develop and assess learning outcomes, and utilize up-to-date curriculum and equipment.

The role includes organizing instruction across classrooms and labs, participating in committee work, and providing advisement and guidance to students to promote success and program integrity.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in standard office software (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Ability to create a positive learning environment and engage diverse learners.
• Experience with curriculum development and instructional design.
• Ability to advise and mentor students effectively.
• Familiarity with using technology to support instruction.

Responsibilities

• Teaches courses in accordance with catalog descriptions and published schedule.
• Organizes instruction using course outlines, lesson plans, and instructional materials.
• Develops clear course objectives and learning outcomes; ensures currency of content.
• Participates in curriculum establishment, review, and evaluation.
• Provides advisement services and supports student success; monitors retention metrics.
• Attends meetings and prepares reports as needed.
