Job summary

Selfhelp Community Services, Inc. in Woodside, NY is seeking a part-time Home Helper to perform light housekeeping for elderly homebound clients, assist with errands, and provide companionship.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform light housekeeping tasks for elderly homebound clients.
• Change bed linens, wash and iron client laundry, and clean client apartments.
• Shop for clients when necessary and accompany ambulatory clients outside the home.
• Report problems to supervisor and maintain records of services provided.
• Attend annual mandatory trainings on topics including safety and HIPAA.
• Support the organization’s mission with positive interpersonal relations and reliability.
