Community Health Systems is seeking an EKG Technician (Cardiovascular Non-Invasive) to support non-invasive cardiovascular diagnostics, including EKGs and stress tests. The role collaborates across departments to ensure accurate results and safe patient care, utilizing EMR and standard safety protocols.

The position requires an Associate Degree in Cardiovascular Technology and 0–1 year experience in an acute care setting, with Basic Life Support required within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Cardiovascular Technology or equivalent.
• Basic understanding of cardiovascular anatomy and EKG lead placement.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for patient interactions.
• Proficiency with EMR systems and accurate patient documentation.

Responsibilities

• Performs EKGs with correct lead placement and accurate readings across ages.
• Operates non-invasive cardiovascular equipment and monitors heart function.
• Assists in patient preparation, explains tests, positions patients, and applies electrodes correctly.
• Monitors vital signs during tests and responds to patient needs.
• Documents test results in EMR and communicates findings to physicians.
• Analyzes test data to provide preliminary notes for physician review.
• Collaborates with physicians and healthcare teams to optimize testing pathways.
• Maintains supplies and ensures equipment is calibrated and clean.
• Adheres to radiation safety and infection control protocols with PPE as needed.
• Participates in quality improvement initiatives for non-invasive cardiovascular services.
• Performs other duties as assigned and maintains reliable attendance.
• Complies with all policies and standards.
