Job summary

Midland Public Schools is seeking a part‑time Paraprofessional for the Emotional Impairment program to support students with special education needs. The role emphasizes positive behavior supports and respectful guidance in classroom settings.

Starting immediately, up to 29 hours/week, Monday–Friday when in session, with an hourly wage of $16, subject to the district master agreement. Training may be provided for CPR/First Aid and ParaPro prerequisites.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• CPR/First Aid certified (preferred; training provided)
• Must be Highly Qualified: 2 years of college (60+ credits) or Associate's Degree or higher or ParaPro Assessment with qualifying score 460+.

Responsibilities

• Paraprofessional will work with students receiving special education support in the Emotional Impairment (EI) Program.
• Using positive behavior supports to teach social skills is part of the position.
• The ability to provide positive guidance to students in a manner that communicates dignity and respect is critical.
