Webster University is seeking qualified candidates for ongoing part-time adjunct instructor positions in the Department of Teacher Education. Adjunct appointments are filled from an applicant pool and reviewed when a suitable position opens.

Responsibilities include maintaining current knowledge, presenting material with effective methods, explaining course expectations, and adhering to the curriculum. Applicants should hold a master's degree or higher and have relevant teaching experience;

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in Education or a related field and/or several years' professional experience in a relevant field.
• Experience and/or training relevant to the content area being taught.
• Willingness to work collaboratively with faculty, as well as teach and mentor students from diverse disciplines and backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Maintain current knowledge of the discipline.
• Present course material in a clear, organized manner using appropriate methodologies.
• Explain course expectations clearly to students.
• Adhere to department curriculum requirements.
• Grade papers, exams, or projects promptly to provide feedback.
• Provide students with individualized help and consultation.
• Meet administrative deadlines such as syllabi, evaluations, and final grades.
• Use university technology to support teaching and administrative duties.
