Right At School is seeking an Educator to support before/after school programs across district sites in Ohio. The role focuses on engaging activities, safe supervision, and fostering a love of learning for children up to 13 years old.

The position offers a split schedule with morning and afternoon shifts, up to about 21.67 hours per week, with pay between $15 and $18 per hour depending on education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Daily Program Meetings: Review goals and updates, share ideas, discuss progress, encourage collaboration, and team accountability.
• Organize and Facilitate Daily Activities: Prepare activities and curriculum aligned with program objectives; lead structured daily fitness and curriculum.
• Leading by Example: Maintain a safe, nurturing environment and model positive guidance and classroom management.
• Prioritize Safety and Joy: Monitor environment, address hazards, and follow safety protocols; document attendance and incidents.
• Communication: Interact effectively with children, parents, staff, and school personnel.

Job Description

Right At School provides local school districts before and after school extended day programs with a focus on disguised learning activities and daily enrichment dedicated to the success of all students! Right At School's mission emphasizes a commitment to inspire a love of learning, support schools, and give families peace of mind. We do this by building a team of mission-driven individuals, who are passionate about fostering a love of learning and creating safe, engaging experiences for children. Educator Pay Rate

Educator Pay Rate: $15.00-$18.00 (based on education and experience)

Program Hours

Schedule: Monday-Friday, split shift. Morning shift: 07:00 AM-08:35 AM. Afternoon shift: 03:15 PM-06:00 PM. This role may be scheduled for up to 21.67 hours per week. Your schedule may vary based on business needs.

Home base location

You will have a "home base" location but can be asked to go to different schools within the district.

You’ll drive the mission by

• Daily Program Meetings: Each day, review goals and updates, share ideas, discuss professional progress, encourage collaboration, and team accountability.
• Organize and Facilitate Daily Activities: Prepare activities and curriculum for the day, ensuring they align with the program's objectives. Organize and lead structured daily fitness, activities, and curriculum; that are both educational and enjoyable for all ages.
• Leading by Example: Maintain a safe and nurturing environment, ensuring children are enjoying themselves while also meeting program goals. You will achieve this by modeling positive guidance and effective classroom management.
• Prioritize Safety and Joy: Monitor the environment, address potential hazards, and follow all safety protocols. These may include documenting attendance, incidents, and other observations.
• Communication: Effective communication with a varied audience, including children, parents, staff, and school personnel.

Ideal Candidates will have the following

Ohio State Requirements

• Ability to meet state-specific requirements;
• First Aid and CPR-in-person
• Cleared tuberculosis test
• Proof of MMR
• 18+ years of age
• Proof of High School diploma/GED equivalent
