Right At School is seeking an Educator to support before/after school programs in New Jersey. You will help plan daily activities, supervise children, and maintain a safe environment that fosters learning.

Ideal candidates have strong customer service, teamwork, and at least 1 year of child-care experience. Ability to lift 25 lbs and a passion for healthy living are important. Flexible to support local programs as needed.

Responsibilities

• Review goals and updates in daily program meetings.
• Prepare activities and curriculum aligned with program objectives; lead daily activities.
• Lead daily fitness, activities, and curriculum for all ages.
• Maintain a safe, nurturing environment with positive guidance.
• Monitor safety, document attendance and incidents.
• Communicate effectively with children, parents, staff, and school personnel.

EDUCATOR

Educator Pay Rate: $16.00-$18.00 (based on education and experience)

Program Hours: Monday - Friday 7:00 AM - 9:05 AM and 3:30 PM - 6:00 PM

You’ll drive the mission by:

• Daily Program Meetings: Each day, review goals and updates, share ideas,discuss professional progress, encourage collaboration, and team accountability.
• Organize and Facilitate Daily Activities: Prepare activities and curriculum for the day, ensuring they align with the program's objectives. Organize and lead structured daily fitness, activities, and curriculum; that are both educational and enjoyable for all ages.
• Leading by Example: Maintain a safe and nurturing environment, ensuring children are enjoying themselves while also meeting program goals. You will achieve this by modeling positive guidance and effective classroom management.
• Prioritize Safety and Joy: Monitor the environment, address potential hazards, and follow all safety protocols. These may include documenting attendance, incidents, and other observations.
• Communication: Effective communication with a varied audience, including children, parents, staff, and school personnel.

New Jersey State Requirements:

• Ability to meet state-specific requirements;
• First Aid and CPR-in-person
• Cleared tuberculosis test
• Proof of MMR
• 18+ years of age
• Proof of High School diploma/GED required
