Job summary

Right At School is seeking an Educator to join our before- and after-school programs. You will lead daily activities, ensure safety, and foster a love of learning across multiple campuses.

The role offers a Monday–Friday schedule with split shifts, up to 25 hours per week, and a pay rate of $15.00–$18.00 per hour depending on education and experience. You will work at a home base location and travel to different schools within the district as needed.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and relationship-building skills.

• At least 1 year of experience working with children under 13 years of age.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
• Drive to inspire a love for learning and commitment to healthy living.
• Flexibility to support additional local programs as needed.

Responsibilities

• Daily Program Meetings: review goals and updates, share ideas, discuss progress, encourage collaboration, and team accountability.
• Organize and Facilitate Daily Activities: prepare activities and curriculum that align with program objectives; lead structured daily fitness and curriculum.
• Leading by Example: maintain a safe and nurturing environment and model positive guidance and classroom management.
• Prioritize Safety and Joy: monitor the environment, address hazards, and follow safety protocols, including attendance and incidents documentation.
• Communication: effectively communicate with children, parents, staff, and school personnel.

Educator Pay Rate:

$15.00-$18.00 (based on education and experience)

Program Hours

Schedule: Monday-Friday, split shift

Morning shift: 06:45 AM-09:00 AM

Afternoon shift: 03:15 PM-06:00 PM

This role may be scheduled for up to 25 hours per week. Your schedule may vary based on business needs.

You will have a "home base" location but can be asked to go to different schools within the district.

You’ll Drive The Mission By

• Daily Program Meetings: Each day, review goals and updates, share ideas, discuss professional progress, encourage collaboration, and team accountability.
• Organize and Facilitate Daily Activities: Prepare activities and curriculum for the day, ensuring they align with the program’s objectives. Organize and lead structured daily fitness, activities, and curriculum; that are both educational and enjoyable for all ages.
• Leading by Example: Maintain a safe and nurturing environment, ensuring children are enjoying themselves while also meeting program goals. You will achieve this by modeling positive guidance and effective classroom management.
• Prioritize Safety and Joy: Monitor the environment, address potential hazards, and follow all safety protocols. These may include documenting attendance, incidents, and other observations.
• Communication: Effective communication with a varied audience, including children, parents, staff, and school personnel.

Ideal Candidates Will Have The Following

• Outstanding customer service and relationship-building skills
• Works well in a team environment
• At least 1 year of experience working with children under 13 years of age
• Ability to lift 25lbs
• Drive to inspire a love for learning and commitment to healthy living
• Flexibility to support additional local programs as needed

Ohio State Requirements

• Ability to meet state-specific requirements;
• First Aid and CPR-in-person
• Cleared tuberculosis test
• Proof of MMR
• 18+ years of age
• Proof of High School diploma/GED required
