Job summary

Right At School zoekt een educator om educatieve programma’s na school te verzorgen. Je organised materialen, levert dagelijkse lesinhoud en waarborgt een veilige, leerzame omgeving voor kinderen na schooltijd.

Met minimaal een jaar ervaring en een middelbare schooldiploma, voldoe je aan de basisvereisten en help je mee aan professionele groei binnen ons team.

Qualifications

  • Uitzonderlijke klantenservice en relatieopbouw tijdens interacties.
  • Teamgericht werken en samenwerking met collega’s.
  • Minimaal 1 jaar ervaring met kinderen onder de 13 jaar gewenst.
  • Leer- en ontwikkeling gericht op basisdiploma of gelijkwaardig.
  • Minimaal zes ECE-uren; CPR en eerste hulp certificering gewenst.
  • Fysieke capaciteit om tot 25 lb te tillen; veiligheid voor kinderen.
  • Bereidheid tot Live Scan en regionale vereisten.

Responsibilities

  • Organiseer lesmaterialen en documenteer aanwezigheid, incidenten en observaties.
  • Lever onze dagelijkse curriculum op een actieve leerervaring.
  • Modereer positieve begeleiding en klasbeheer voor veiligheid en aandacht.
  • Communiceer effectief met kinderen, ouders, medewerkers en scholen.
  • Werk samen met de Program Manager voor professionele vooruitgang.
  • Ondersteun huiswerk en combineer speelse activiteiten met beweging.

Pay Range: $21-$23/hour (dependent on education & experience)

Schedule: Position starts late July and runs throughout the school year. 1:45pm-6:00pm Monday-Friday.

You’ll Drive The Mission By
  • Organize program materials for lessons and activities, as well as document attendance, incidents, and other observation
  • Deliver our dynamic daily curriculum to engage children in academic and social character-building that expands school-day learning in a meaningful way
  • Using your coursework training and our in-person training, model positive guidance, and effective classroom management to maintain the safety, well-being, and attention of all children while supporting homework completion, leading fun fitness activities, and guiding children at play
  • Excellent communication skills with varied audiences including children, parents, staff, and school personnel
  • Model positive guidance and effective classroom management to maintain the safety and well-being and attention of all children
  • Meets regularly with the Program Manager regarding professional progress and team accountability
Ideal Candidates Will Have The Following
  • Outstanding customer service and relationship-building skills
  • Works well in a team environment
  • At least 1 year of experience working with children under 13 years of age preferred
  • High School Diploma or equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade.
  • Completion of a minimum of six (6) units in Early Childhood Education or Child Development preferred
  • Current CPR and First Aid certificate
  • Ability to lift 25lbs
  • Drive to inspire a love for learning and commitment to healthy living
  • Ability to meet state-specific requirements: LIVE Scan fingerprint, Mandated Reporter training, Health Certificate with Negative TB Test (from a physician)
