Job summary

Right At School in California is seeking a dynamic Educational Support Specialist to foster student success and program excellence. You will partner with curriculum, compliance, and field leadership to maintain a safe, inclusive learning environment and ensure adherence to best practices and regulatory guidelines.

In this role you will implement individualized instruction, support students with IEPs/504/ELL plans, promote positive behavior, and collaborate with district staff to drive quality

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in education, child development, social work, or a related field is preferred, though equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Three (3) or more years of proven experience in youth development, after-school programming, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with assessments, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing corrective actions.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols, licensing regulations, and educational standards, with CA familiarity highly desirable.
  • Ability to model, mentor, and train staff; experience supporting inclusive environments.

Responsibilities

  • Implement individualized and small-group instruction and lesson plans.
  • Adapt materials to meet diverse needs, including IEP/504/ELL plans.
  • Promote positive behavior and support self-regulation.
  • Provide direction and behavioral support to students and educators.
  • Ensure adherence to company, licensing, and district policies; maintain safety and cleanliness.
  • Collect student progress data and provide feedback to managers.
  • Collaborate with Area Manager to implement inclusion practices and improvement plans.
  • Support program quality and safety assessments.
