Job summary

Wauseon Primary School, part of Wauseon Exempted Village Schools, seeks a dedicated Educational Aide for a part-time role in Ohio. You will support teachers and students, helping deliver instructional activities and reinforce learning in a welcoming classroom environment.

The position runs 4 hours per day (approximately 10:45 a.m.–2:45 p.m.), 184 days per year with summers off, and includes single health insurance, paid sick days, personal days, life insurance, and retirement benefits.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in education or child development preferred.
• Previous experience with children in educational settings is highly desirable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with students, staff, and parents.

Responsibilities

• Assist classroom teachers in delivering instructional activities and educational programs.
• Support students in their academic tasks and reinforce learning objectives.
• Provide one-on-one or small group support to students as needed.
• Help prepare classroom materials and resources for lessons and activities.
• Monitor student progress and behavior, providing feedback to teachers as necessary.
• Assist with classroom management and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities.
• Communicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents regarding student progress and needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervising teacher or school administration.
