Job summary

South Knox Community Center (Vestal) seeks a part-time Education Specialist to support youth in core subjects and integrate technology into learning.

The role involves developing and evaluating educational activities, coordinating with staff and partner schools, and mentoring students to improve homework completion and academic outcomes. CPR/First Aid certification is required, and prior BG clubs experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: High School Diploma or GED; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience: 2+ years in a Boys & Girls Club or similar setting, planning and supervising youth activities.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, and oversee educational activities (e.g., 21st Century, LEAP, Power Hour).
• Monitor educational delivery and improve programs with education staff.
• Implement and oversee Project Learn philosophies and high-yield learning activities.
• Coordinate with schools, parents, members, and partner agencies on tutoring and homework help.
