Job summary

The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary's Boyce College invites applications for an adjunct faculty member to teach Economics at the undergraduate level. The appointment is part-time, with rank to be determined, and will support the college's mission.

Faculty will mentor students, collaborate with program staff, and participate in adjunct trainings as required to uphold academic quality and faith-based standards.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Economics.
• Testimony of personal faith in Jesus Christ and evidence of a mature Christian lifestyle.
• Professional experience in the field preferred but not required.
• Full agreement with the Abstract of Principles and the 2000 Baptist Faith and Message.
• Support for the mission and vision of Boyce College.

Responsibilities

• Teach residential face-to-face Economics classes in the Business program.
• Teach consistent with the Abstract of Principles and the 2000 Baptist Faith and Message.
• Work with the Program Coordinator to ensure course outcomes are met.
• Review assessments and recommend changes to the Program Coordinator.
• Participate in ongoing instructional and student assessment efforts as needed.
• Be available to meet with and mentor students in scheduled classes.
• Participate in adjunct trainings as required by Boyce College and SBTS.
