The Tooker Lab in the Department of Entomology at Penn State is accepting applications for part-time lab and field research assistant positions (up to 20 hours per week) with a B.S. degree.

Work includes lab, greenhouse, and field settings, occasional outdoor conditions, and potentially driving university vehicles. Projects cover ecology, evolution, plant-insect interactions, and agricultural pest management, including ecologically based pest control and cover crops.

Qualifications

• Must have at least a B.S. degree.
• Interest in ecology, evolution, plant-insect interactions, and/or agricultural pest management.

Responsibilities

• Support lab members in the lab, greenhouse, and field settings.
• Assist with outdoor work under variable conditions and possibly drive university vehicles.
• Gain increasing independence in responsibilities as experience grows.
