Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or related field with required coursework.
• At least three years of experience working with children birth to five and their families.
• Knowledge of Head Start/Early Head Start requirements and state licensing standards.
• Strong communication, collaboration, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and work effectively with diverse families and professionals.
• Ability to use technology and learn program-specific software and data systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and feedback to teaching staff.
• Support teachers in implementing high-quality, developmentally appropriate instruction.
• Help teachers plan meaningful learning experiences based on children's interests and needs.
• Support effective classroom routines, transitions, and positive teacher-child interactions.
• Assist teachers in arranging indoor and outdoor environments to support learning and engagement.
• Support curriculum fidelity and use data to identify strengths and opportunities for improvement.
• Provide professional development and facilitate reflective practice opportunities.
• Use data systems to track coaching activities and outcomes.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, Education, Family Studies, or a related field
