Kettle Moraine YMCA is seeking a Child Care Teacher - Part Time in Port Washington, WI. Under supervision of the Childcare Director, you’ll help implement daily activities in early childhood programs at Feith Family YMCA.

You will support teachers, follow licensing rules, and help maintain a safe, engaging environment for children, with a focus on caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility. This role offers a part-time schedule and access to YMCA benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 16 years or approved course.
• High School Diploma or Equivalency.
• Educational qualifications in compliance with DCF Wisconsin Licensing Rules for Group Child Care Centers.
• Current CPR/AED certification preferred; required within 30 days of hire.
• Must complete and pass fingerprint check.
• Must complete a Health Physical and TB test within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to appropriately interact with children at their cognitive level.

Responsibilities

• Follow Wisconsin DCF licensing rules and YMCA policies.
• Assist teachers in carrying out daily curriculum.
• Report concerns to staff in charge.
• Maintain a safe, orderly environment and assist in housekeeping.
• Assist in meal/snack preparation.
• Interact with children at their cognitive level and provide supervision.
