Job summary

Valencia College’s School of Speech and Languages seeks a part-time EAP faculty member to teach courses supporting students in English language, communication, and academic skills for college success and beyond.

The ideal candidate will have ESL teaching experience and an academic background in TESOL, English or linguistics. Face-to-face and mixed-mode modalities are offered, with residency verification required within 30 days of start.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching English as a second language, Intensive English, English for Academic Purposes, or related courses.
• Strong communication skills, cultural awareness, and ability to support students with varying levels of English proficiency.
• College-level teaching experience and experience with multilingual or international student populations is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and delivers instruction in assigned modality (classroom, hybrid, online).
• Prepares instructional materials and provides feedback on students’ progress.
• Submits syllabi, attendance, grades, and other required documentation.
• Maintains current information on student services and college policies.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
