Job summary

Abound Health in Westfield, NC is seeking compassionate Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to be a bridge to the community, helping individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities live happier, more independent lives. This part-time role offers flexible hours, paid training, and a welcoming team.

You should be 18+, ready to learn, and willing to undergo a standard background check; a valid driver’s license is preferred to help get clients into the community.

Qualifications

• Age: Must be 18 years or older.
• Attitude: Reliable, compassionate, and ready to listen.
• Clearance: Willingness to undergo a standard background check.
• Transport: A valid driver’s license is preferred to help get our clients out into the community!
• A Note on Experience: While prior experience in caregiving, personal support, or disability services is a plus, it is not required. If you are willing to learn, we are willing to teach.

Responsibilities

• Be a Coach: Help individuals learn new skills, pursue their personal goals, and engage with their community.
• Be a Support: assist with daily living activities, health, and safety, always prioritizing their dignity.
