Job summary

The Boys' Club of New York Inc. in New York City is seeking a Drums Teacher to deliver on-site programs for youth ages 7 to 21, with sessions in one-on-one or small groups. Reporting to the Clubhouse Director, you will supervise activities and help plan end-of-season performances.

This is a part-time, non-exempt role located at 321 East 111th St, NY 10029, offering hands-on studio teaching and a chance to contribute to the organization’s long-running youth-development mission.

Qualifications

• Education and teaching experience in the instrument you are applying for.
• Professional Musicians with performing experience preferred.
• Previous experience in youth development, education, or afterschool.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of a group of 10-21 boys (ages 7-9 or 10-12)
• Teach half-hour sessions per working day scheduled
• Record Annual Pre and Post Observations
• Keep Attendance Records (Parent outreach when needed)
• Work in small groups for end of season performances
• Care of equipment in State-of-the-Art studios
