Job summary

Indiana Auto Auction in Fort Wayne, IN is seeking a Part-time Transport Driver to operate automotive equipment and tow vehicles to and from the lot or auction block. The role requires safety-focused rigging and maneuvering of vehicles, plus the ability to work in varying weather and yard conditions.

You will drive, operate, and maintain transportation trucks, log trips, report defects or damages, perform routine minor repairs, and keep the work area clean.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years of experience operating medium-heavy automotive machinery, including wrecker or tow trucks.
• Valid Class Driver’s License with proper endorsements.
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record required.
• Commitment to providing excellent customer service.
• Proven communication and interaction skills.
• Demonstrated skill with minor automotive repair or maintenance.
• Proven ability to operate trucks or machinery.
• Ability to work in varying conditions, inside machinery or outside.
• Must be able to rig vehicles and handle lifting up to 50 lbs.

• Drive, operate, and maintain transportation trucks. Rig vehicles to be transported using approved procedures.

• Observe instruments while operating the vehicle. Make necessary routine repair as necessary.

• Transport vehicles to and from the lot.

• Record and log trips. Report defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damages.

• Clean and maintain work area and associated tools and machinery.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Experience & Education:

• High School Diploma or GED required

• 1+ years of experience operating medium-heavy automotive machinery, including wrecker or tow trucks.

Knowledge & Skills:
