PALS OHIO, LLC. is seeking a Driver for Non-Medical Transportation to pick up clients from adult living facilities and transport them safely to program locations in Heath, OH. The role requires daily routes with a split shift and a focus on safety and documentation.

Responsibilities include ensuring client supervision, vehicle safety checks, and timely completion of administrative forms. A High School diploma, DOT physical, and a valid OH driver license are required.

Qualifications

• Must pass the DOT physical.
• Must have a High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must have a valid Ohio driver license with clean record (less than 6 points).
• Must pass background screening and drug screen as required.

Responsibilities

• Safely pick up clients from facilities or agreed locations using company vehicle.
• Transport clients to and from program locations each day.
• Ensure client safety during transportation at all times.
• Perform daily vehicle inspections and complete safety checks.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and scheduling of maintenance.

The Driver for Non-Medical Transportation is responsible for performing a variety of duties in support of programing. The driver will be responsible for picking up clients from Adult Living Facilities, residential homes or other agreed upon location and transporting them safely to Programing. Driver shall also be responsible for safe transportation back to the agreed upon location on a daily basis. The Driver is responsible for transportation documentation, cleanliness and scheduled maintenance on company vehicles and insuring that the vehicle functions, including but not limited to, safety equipment are in good working order. ScheduleA SPLIT SHIFT schedule means that you will drive a route in the morning, break for 4-5 hours, then return to drive a route in the afternoon.

POSITION’S ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Safely pick up clients from Adult Living Facility, or other agreed upon location, using a company Vehicle
• Safely take clients to Adult Living Facility, or other agreed upon location, upon completion of daily program using the company vehicle
• Insure safety of clients at all times during transportation on and off the van (i.e. using a safety step)
• Routinely check functions of van and maintain proper maintenance schedule for the vehicle
• Insure all safety equipment is in good working order
• Responsible for client supervision/support
• Responsible for documentation, including but not limited to, Vehicle Safety Checks, billing sheets and other program documentation
• Attend weekly technician meeting for additional training
• Interact appropriately and professionally with clients and the community

Qualifications

• Must successfully pass the DOT physical.
• Must have minimum High School degree or equivalent there of.
• Must have knowledge of the principles and practices of the discipline.
• Demonstrates proficiency in verbal and written skillsAbility to work with diverse groups and individualsMust have appropriate experience and documentation capabilitiesMaintains current and annual training requirementsMust successfully complete all criminal background screens as neededMust have valid Ohio Driver License and less than 6 points and provide BMV Drivers abstract.
• Must pass physical and Drug Screen.
• Must be able to safely drive a company vehicle
• Driving history must meet insurance carrier requirements
• Must have at least six (6) months of driving commercial vehicle.
