Valet Living is hiring part-time Doorstep Trash Collection Specialists (Service Valets) in McHenry, IL to keep apartment communities clean and welcoming. Earn reliable extra income with an evening schedule close to home, using your own vehicle to collect trash from residents' doorsteps.

You will travel to nearby communities, walk the grounds, climb stairs, and dispose of bagged trash at on-site compactors. Schedules typically run Sunday-Thursday after 7–8 PM; truck pay is $21.50/hr and non-truck

Qualifications

• Own either an open-bed pickup truck or a vehicle with a trailer for the job.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.
• Active auto insurance for the vehicle used for work.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Smartphone with data plan to use the work app and receive updates.

Responsibilities

• Collect bagged trash and cardboard from apartment doorsteps and transport to the on-site compactor using your truck or trailer.
• Service one or more nearby communities during the shift, all within the same local area.
• Stay active by walking, climbing stairs, and working outdoors.
• No long-distance driving or off-site dumping.
• Use the mobile app to check in, track work, and take photos when needed.

What You'll Do

Every service night, you'll help keep apartment communities clean and welcoming by collecting bagged trash and cardboard recycling from residents' doorsteps, so it's gone by morning.

• Collect bagged trash and cardboard from apartment doorsteps and transport it to the on-site compactor using your open-bed pickup truck or tow vehicle with utility trailer.
• Service one or more nearby apartment communities during your shift, all within the same local area.
• Stay active by walking apartment communities, climbing stairs, and working outdoors.
• No long-distance driving, bulk item collection, or off-site dumping.
• Use our mobile app to check in, track your work, and take photos when needed.

Qualifications

• Own either (1) an open-bed pickup truck or (2) a vehicle paired with an open utility trailer used for the job; vehicles without an open bed or trailer (including SUVs, sedans, and vans) do not qualify.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Active auto insurance for the vehicle being used
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Smartphone with a data plan to download and use our work app, and willingness to receive SMS/text communications throughout the pre-employment process and employment, including updates, scheduling, and work-related information
• Authorized to work in the U.S. (proof required)
• Ability to work independently and follow a consistent routine

• Lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Walk long distances and climb multiple flights of stairs
