Job summary

Valet Living is hiring part-time Service Valets to keep apartment communities clean by collecting bagged trash and cardboard from residents’ doorsteps. You’ll work mainly in the evenings, with 10–15+ hours weekly and no long-distance driving.

You’ll use a truck or tow vehicle to move waste to on-site compactors, check in via our app, and stay active outdoors. 18+ with a valid license and independent work ethic is required.

Qualifications

• Own either an open-bed pickup truck or a tow-capable vehicle.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Active auto insurance for the vehicle.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Smartphone with a data plan to download and use our app and receive SMS updates.
• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Ability to work independently and follow a consistent routine

Responsibilities

• Collect bagged trash and cardboard from apartment doorsteps and transport to the on-site compactor.
• Service one or more nearby communities during your shift within the local area.
• Stay active by walking, climbing stairs, and working outdoors.
• No long-distance driving, bulk item collection, or off-site dumping.
• Use our app to check in, track work, and take photos when needed.

What You’ll Do

Every service night, you'll help keep apartment communities clean and welcoming by collecting bagged trash and cardboard recycling from residents' doorsteps, so it's gone by morning.

• Collect bagged trash and cardboard from apartment doorsteps and transport it to the on-site compactor using your open-bed pickup truck or tow vehicle with utility trailer.
• Service one or more nearby apartment communities during your shift, all within the same local area.
• Stay active by walking apartment communities, climbing stairs, and working outdoors.
• No long-distance driving, bulk item collection, or off-site dumping.
• Use our mobile app to check in, track your work, and take photos when needed.

Qualifications

• Own either (1) an open-bed pickup truck or (2) a vehicle paired with an open utility trailer used for the job; vehicles without an open bed or trailer (including SUVs, sedans, and vans) do not qualify.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Active auto insurance for the vehicle being used
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Smartphone with a data plan to download and use our work app, and willingness to receive SMS/text communications throughout the pre-employment process and employment, including updates, scheduling, and work-related information
• Authorized to work in the U.S. (proof required)
• Ability to work independently and follow a consistent routine

Physical Requirements

• Lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Walk long distances and climb multiple flights of stairs
• Work around bagged trash and waste
• Work outdoors in various weather conditions
