Job summary

AAA Cooper Transportation, Inc. is seeking a dockworker to load and unload freight and manage dock operations at our Texas terminal. This role involves handling trailers, using equipment, and ensuring loading plans optimize space and protect cargo.

Applicants should be 18+ with a high school diploma or equivalent and be able to obtain forklift certification. Prior safety training and English literacy are important for daily duties and compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 18 years or older.
• Ability to be certified as a forklift operator.
• Familiarity with handling hazardous materials and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trailers and move freight across the terminal dock, with or without assistance.
• Load freight to and from dock according to Bills of Lading and delivery papers.
• Plan loading to maximize space and minimize damage.
• Hook and unhook trailers and operate landing gear as needed.
• Inspect equipment for defects and safe operating condition.
