Job summary

DHL Asia Pacific Shared Services seeks a Part Time Dockworker in Indianapolis, IN to support the efficient processing of shipments. Responsibilities include sorting, loading/unloading, palletizing, scanning, and ensuring compliance with safety and company policies.

Qualified candidates must hold a valid driver’s license, a High School Diploma or GED, and be at least 18 years old. Physical tasks include lifting up to 70 lbs and frequent lifting of 40 lbs; forklift operation may be required.

Qualifications

• Driver's License with clean driving record.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED)
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Under tight deadlines, performs duties such as sorting, packing, loading, unloading containers
• Palletizing and separation of freight/documents
• Ensures all delivery material is prepared for shipment
• Operates a scanner to record shipping and package information for documents/packages picked up or delivered
• Drive forklift
• Reports any suspected breach of security or unusual happenings to supervisor immediately
• Maintains good work habits, including reporting to work on time and adhering to standard work and safety procedures
• May assist supervisor in orienting, training, assigning and checking the work of other employees
