Job summary

Catholic Charities-Dept For Persons With Disabilities (DPD) seeks a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to assist residents in our group homes, promoting health, safety and daily living skills.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience with ID/DD population is a plus.
• A valid driver0S license is required.
• Must be able to meet CPR/First Aid and emergency evacuation procedures.

Responsibilities

• Help meet residents' personal health, safety and welfare needs in group homes.
• Assist with personal care, bathing/toileting and daily living tasks.
• Administer and/or assist with medication administration.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, co-workers and residents.
• Drive residents to/from day programs and community activities.
• Maintain daily service documentation.
• Assist with community-based activities.
