Job summary

The Arc of Greater Prince William / INSIGHT, Inc. in Woodbridge, Virginia, is seeking a compassionate Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our Residential Services team at a group home.

You will provide direct care and support to adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities in a residential setting. Under supervision, the DSP assists individuals with daily living activities while promoting independence, dignity, personal choice, and community inclusion.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license with a three-year driving record.
• Ability to operate an organizational vehicle (bus/van).
• Able to pass criminal background checks and health screenings.
• Complete required trainings (CPR/First Aid/AED/MAT) if applicable.
• Basic computer skills and THERAP usage.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centered direct care based on ISP goals.
• Assist with activities of daily living and household tasks.
• Promote independence, community involvement, and dignity.
• Provide safe transportation to programs and appointments.
• Plan and participate in recreational and skill-building activities.
• Complete documentation and progress notes accurately in THERAP.
• Maintain privacy, dignity, and human rights.
