Job summary

At Peace Health Care Agency in Mill Hall, a Direct Support Professional delivers person-centered care to individuals with disabilities, supporting daily living, mobility, and community involvement. You will promote independence, safety, and dignity in every interaction.

This part-time role requires a valid driver’s license, experience as a DSP, and ability to lift and use a Hoyer; you'll accompany clients to medical and therapy appointments and maintain HIPAA-compliant confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of behavioral support plans (BSPs) and home care practices.
• Ability to assist individuals with mobility and personal care needs.
• Proficiency in tracking goals and implementing individualized support strategies.
• Understanding of individual rights, person-centered advocacy, and HIPAA compliance.

Responsibilities

• Deliver hands-on support with daily living activities, personal care, and mobility.
• Foster independence and community involvement for individuals with disabilities.
• Implement and adapt individualized care plans and behavioral strategies (BSP).
• Ensure a safe, respectful environment that protects individual rights and well-being.
• Support individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other diverse needs.
• Maintain strict confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA standards.
• Provide transportation and accompany individuals to medical, therapy, and community appointments.
