Job summary

Wall Residences is seeking Part-Time Direct Support Professionals to assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Galax, VA. You will support social skills, self-care, and community integration through center-based and community outings. Training is provided, and evenings/weekends may be required.

The role emphasizes accurate documentation, safety, and positive interactions. A valid driver’s license and clean driving record are expected as part of the responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Detail-oriented and capable of keeping accurate notes.
• Excellent communication with individuals and team members.
• Willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed.
• Successful completion of background checks and references.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals in learning basic social skills and self-care.
• Accompany clients into the community for outings and activities.
• Plan and participate in monthly group day activities at the center and in the community.
• Maintain documentation to ensure continuity of high-quality care.
