Job summary

The San Francisco Campus for Jewish Living in San Francisco’s Excelsior neighborhood seeks a Part-Time Server to provide exceptional dining service to residents and guests at the dining room and events.

You will deliver food and beverages, answer questions about the menu, and contribute to a welcoming, sanitary dining environment while upholding high standards of hospitality and resident care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience serving in hotel/restaurant/senior living or fine dining preferred.
• Ability to read, write, understand, and follow instructions in English.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents, guests, visitors, and team members.
• Professional, courteous, tactful, service-oriented demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Set tables and maintain workstations in a clean, organized, and orderly manner.
• Take food and beverage orders and provide prompt, courteous service to residents and guests.
• Deliver food and beverages accurately and efficiently.
• Clear dishes during and after meal service and reset tables for the next seating.
• Answer resident and guest questions regarding menu items and dining options.
• Assist with plating and portioning of appetizers, salads, soups, beverages, and desserts as needed.
• Maintain a high level of customer service and hospitality for residents and their guests.
• Welcome and acknowledge all residents and guests in a professional and friendly manner.
