Job summary

Fairmount Homes, Inc. in Ephrata, Pennsylvania, seeks a Dietary Aide (Dining Server) for 24 hours per week. You will assist with meal service in Skilled Nursing and Personal Care areas and learn basic cooking skills under the Wheat Ridge kitchen team.

Hours include 6 a.m.–2 p.m. or 11 a.m.–7 p.m., with every other weekend and holiday rotation. Starting pay ranges from $18.30 to $19.80 per hour, with additional evening and weekend increases.

• Basic knowledge of safe and sanitary food and equipment handling practices
• Personal hygiene and dress must meet required standards
• Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written instructions

Responsibilities

• Ensure residents receive meals that meet their dietary orders
• Deliver hot and cold foods and beverages to designated areas for each meal
• Check, record, and report refrigerator/freezer temperatures in service kitchens
• Maintain food safety and sanitation standards in all work areas
• Partner with nursing staff to serve meals in Healthcare and Personal Care
• Assist cooks with cold food preparation and portioning
• Stock service kitchens with food, supplements, and supplies between meals
• Help with dishwashing and cleanup after meals
• Assist with receiving and inventory as needed
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support the team
