Job summary

Heathers Manor, a Transforming Age community in Crystal, MN, is seeking a part-time Dining Room Server to create a welcoming dining experience for residents.

You will deliver meals with friendly service in a clean, comfortable setting, helping with menu presentations, taking orders, and supporting the kitchen when needed.

The position offers approximately 20 hours per week, with a pay rate of $16-$18 per hour DOE and benefits for full-time and some perks for part-time.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• Previous server experience highly preferred.
• 6 months or more in long term care, home care or related field preferred.
• Software experience using POS (point-of-sale) transactional systems
• Must possess effective English verbal and written communication skills.
• Must pass a background check and pre-employment screenings as required.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with meal selection, including menu and buffet items as needed.
• Present menu to residents, answer questions and relay orders to kitchen.
• Deliver meals quickly and provide friendly service.
• Clear, clean, and reset tables for the next meal service.
• Assist with light back-of-house duties as needed.
• Observes residents to ensure safety in dining areas.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

We have a wonderful opportunity for Dining Room Server who would like to have

As a Dining room server, you will play an important role in creating a welcoming dining experience for our residents by delivering delicious meals and friendly service in clean and comfortable setting.

The position is Part-time (approx. 20 hours per week) and the rate of pay for this role is $16-$18 per hour DOE.

The schedule is Tuesday and Thursday:11AM-07PM, Sunday: 4PM-7PM

Our Servers

• Assist residents with meal selection, which may include ordering from menu, buffet/a la carte item selection, and assistance with any buffet stations (e.g. salad bar, breakfast bar.) as needed.
• Present menu to residents, answers questions and makes suggestions regarding meal choices. Records orders and relays to kitchen production area. Is knowledgeable about menu choices, including ingredients and preparation methods.
• Works efficiently and quickly delivers food to residents, aiding them as needed.
• Clears, cleans, and resets tables for next meal service.
• May assist with light back of house/kitchen duties (including such tasks as salad bar, soup service, portion desserts, brew coffee or other services as needed.
• Assists with clearing table.
• Observes residents to ensure safety in our dining areas.

What You Need To Succeed

• At least 18 years of age.
• Previous server experience highly preferred.
• 6 months or more in long term care, home care or related field preferred.
• Software experience using POS (point-of-sale) transactional systems
• Must possess effective English verbal and written communication skills.
• Must pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen, may need to complete other pre-employment screenings such as physical, fingerprint, and TB test as required by state/local guidelines.
