Job summary

Rolling Hills Retirement Community in Commerce Township, MI is seeking a Part-Time Server to create meaningful dining experiences for residents. You’ll join a collaborative team, respond to feedback, and contribute to a warm, caring environment.

In Casual and Fine Dining, you’ll greet tables, take orders, serve courses, clear tables, and help with room service and cleaning tasks. No prior experience required; must be at least 15 and able to obtain permits.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 15 years of age or older.
• No previous work experience is required.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English with residents, guests, and employees.
• Ability to secure required food handler permits as required by local ordinances within two (2) weeks of hire.
• State regulations may require certain applicants to obtain a work permit before beginning employment.

Responsibilities

• Enhance the dining experience by assisting residents in Casual Dining by carrying trays, offering beverages, and proactively meeting service needs.
• Create memorable moments in Fine Dining by greeting tables, guiding menu selections, taking orders, and serving courses.
• Keep the dining room looking its best by clearing and resetting tables, handling dishes, refilling water, and setting tables before meals.
• Help keep things clean and organized by vacuuming carpets, cleaning the salad bar, and completing other tasks as needed.
• Deliver room service meals and pick up trays with a friendly, positive attitude.
• Listen and respond kindly to resident comments or concerns and share feedback with a manager when needed.
• Jump in and help where needed by completing support work and other tasks assigned by supervisors.
