Job summary

Webster at Rye is seeking a part-time Dining Aide to join our dining team. The role offers a 3:00pm–7:00pm shift, with a flexible schedule and a supportive team environment. The organization emphasizes a mission-driven workplace with competitive pay and holiday differential.

Responsibilities include menu assistance, tray preparation, and delivering meals while maintaining accurate records of diets and resident files. Must be 17+ and able to lift up to 50 lb.

Qualifications

• Must be 17 years of age or older.
• Understanding of the different therapeutic diets offered.
• Able to interact well with residents.
• Ability to check trays with a high degree of accuracy.
• Willingness to cross train and perform other duties in the department.
• Willingness to perform routine, repetitive tasks on a continuing basis.
• Ability to push, pull, or lift up to 50lb.

Responsibilities

• Pick up menus from each resident and assist them with filling them out per diet breakdown sheets.
• Tallies menus and prepares tally sheets with a high degree of accuracy.
• Deliver cart to floor/area and distribute prepared trays to resident tables or rooms.
• Call diets and check trays during trayline with accuracy.
• Maintain resident files and record all diet changes.
• Report any nutritional concerns to manager on duty.
• Perform dietary tasks including dining room setup/breakdown, meal delivery, dishwashing, and cross-train in various dining environments.
• Attend to additional duties as assigned by manager on duty.
