Job summary

State of Missouri's St. Louis Forensic Treatment Center seeks a positive and energetic Dietitian to support clients with mental illness. You will conduct nutrition assessments, follow up, provide individualized interventions, participate in rounds, coordinate with Food Service for dietary needs, and lead weekly nutrition groups.

Registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration and Missouri licensure are required.

Qualifications

• Must maintain RD registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration and hold Missouri licensure.
• Experience with mental health or forensic populations is a plus.
• Ability to coordinate care with Food Service and clinical teams.

Responsibilities

• Complete initial and annual nutrition assessments for assigned patients.
• Follow-up with patients weekly, monthly, or quarterly based on nutrition risk.
• Provide individualized nutrition interventions aligned with health goals.
• Participate in interdisciplinary care, treatment planning, and rounds.
• Coordinate communication with Food Service for special dietary needs.
• Facilitate nutrition-based groups with patients.

St. Louis Forensic Treatment Center provides specialized care for clients diagnosed with mental illness. We are looking for a positive and energetic Dietitian who has an interest in helping individuals with mental illness maximize their potential.

Responsibilities

• Complete initial and annual nutrition assessments of all assigned patients
• Follow-up with patients weekly, monthly, or quarterly depending on nutrition risk
• Provide individualized interventions based on patients' nutrition/health goals
• Attend and participate in interdisciplinary care of patients including treatment planning and rounds
• Communication with Food Service staff - special dietary needs of assigned clients
• Facilitate weekly nutrition-based groups with patients

Qualification

Maintain registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration and have current Missouri licensure.
