Job summary

State of Missouri seeks a positive Dietitian to improve outcomes for patients with mental illness at the St. Louis Forensic Treatment Center. You will perform nutrition assessments, supervise care plans, and lead nutrition groups. You will collaborate with the interdisciplinary team and food service to meet individualized dietary goals.

The role requires Missouri licensure and CDR registration, with opportunities to engage in weekly group sessions and care planning in a hospital-like setting.

Qualifications

• Maintain registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
• Hold current Missouri licensure to practice dietetics.
• Engage in interdisciplinary team care for treatment planning.

• Follow up with patients weekly, monthly, or quarterly based on nutrition risk.

St. Louis Forensic Treatment Center provides specialized care for clients diagnosed with mental illness. We are looking for a positive and energetic Dietitian who has an interest in helping individuals with mental illness maximize their potential.

Responsibilities

• Complete initial and annual nutrition assessments of all assigned patients
• Follow-up with patients weekly, monthly, or quarterly depending on nutrition risk
• Provide individualized interventions based on patients’ nutrition/health goals
• Attend and participate in interdisciplinary care of patients including treatment planning and rounds
• Communication with Food Service staff - special dietary needs of assigned clients
• Facilitate weekly nutrition-based groups with patients

Qualification

Maintain registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration and have current Missouri licensure.
