Job summary

Avon Health Center in Avon, CT is seeking a friendly dietary aide for a part-time role in our family-owned nursing home. You will assist with meal prep, serve residents, and support catering events under the Director of Dining Services.

Day and evening shifts may be available; weekend work every other weekend and some holidays is required. We offer medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with match, generous PTO, 8 paid holidays, uniform allowance, weekend differential, and EAP.

Qualifications

• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills.
• Capable of working in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Treat residents and staff with tact and respect.
• Must be able to stand for long periods.
• Able to lift, push, pull and move equipment and supplies.

Responsibilities

• Help prepare food and meals.
• Wash dishes and perform washroom duties.
• Deliver food to facility residents.
• Assist with catering events at the facility.
• Assist in kitchen as needed.
