Job summary

Aramark HealthCare+ is seeking a Part-Time Diet Technician at Baylor University Medical Center (BUMC) in downtown Dallas, Texas. This role offers a chance to gain nutrition experience with the clinical dietitian team as you pursue an RD credential or related healthcare path.

Schedule involves approximately 1–3 days per week with weekday and weekend coverage. Duties include calorie counts, patient education, team meetings, and tray accuracy checks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in nutrition and dietetics is required.
• NDTR credential preferred.
• Previous healthcare food service experience is preferred.
• Ability to maintain a friendly, efficient customer service attitude.

Responsibilities

• Completes calorie counts and menu selections for inpatients in a hospital setting.
• Presents nutrition and diet education to patients and their caregivers.
• Attend weekly interdisciplinary team meetings.
• Checks trays for accuracy of menu items.
• Responsive to customer needs and provides world-class service following Aramark’s service model.
• Maintains safety, quality and service excellence for employees, clients and community.
• Checks menus for compliance with diet orders/updates non-select menus for patients.
• Participates in Quality Control and Quality Assurance data collection.
• Completes online learning and other training as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in nutrition and dietetics, required
• NDTR (National Dietetic Technician Registered) credential preferred
• Previous food service experience in healthcare setting preferred
• Ability to maintain a friendly, efficient, positive customer service attitude toward customers, clients, and co-workers
• Ability to maintain a contagious and positive work ethic and inspire others

Conditions of employment may or may not include busy hospital and outpatient settings, from patient rooms/floors to kitchen/serving areas.
