Job summary

Holston Medical Group in Kingsport, TN is seeking a part-time ultrasound technologist to perform high-quality imaging and support radiologists in diagnostic procedures. You will set up and operate ultrasound equipment, position patients, and ensure patient comfort while maintaining exam accuracy.

Requires a two-year Allied Health Degree and a one-year ultrasound program, with at least two years of experience. ARDMS/ARRT registration is preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires a two year Allied Health Degree.
• Successful completion of an approved one-year Ultrasound Technology program.
• At least 2 years of experience in the field.
• May require ARDMS and/or ARRT registration.
• Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures in ultrasound.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates exams, documents/records clinical findings, and maintains logs.
• Performs diagnostic ultrasound procedures as part of radiology workflows.
• Educates patient and others regarding procedures and related information.
• Prepares the room and ensures necessary supplies are available.
• Maintains records of patients, examinations, views and settings used.
• Operates ultrasound equipment with proper warming techniques; supports radiologists.
