Job summary

Correctional Healthcare Partners is seeking a dedicated Dentist to provide part-time dental services at Whatcom County Jail in Bellingham, Washington. This is a 16-hour-per-week, on-site role offering a $110/hour compensation package and clinical autonomy in a correctional setting.

The ideal candidate holds a Washington Dentist license, DEA registration, and CPR certification, with at least one year of dental practice.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted Washington Dentist license.
• Current DEA registration.
• Current CPR certification.
• Minimum 1 year of dental practice experience.
• Strong clinical, communication, and documentation skills.
• Correctional healthcare experience preferred, but not required.
• Administrative or leadership experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine, restorative, and urgent dental care.
• Complete dental assessments, evaluations, and treatment planning.
• Diagnose and treat dental conditions within the program scope.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Collaborate with medical, dental, and custody teams to coordinate patient care.
• Maintain compliance with NCCHC, ACA, safety, and applicable clinical standards.
• Participate in quality improvement efforts related to dental services.
