Qualifications

• Licensed dental hygienist with active Virginia license.
• Proven experience as dental hygienist or similar role.
• Diploma in Dental Hygiene; Master’s is a plus.
• Valid Virginia license to practice.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patients feel comfortable before examination.
• Sterilize dental instruments properly.
• Conduct initial mouth screenings and check health history.
• Identify gingivitis, caries, or periodontitis.
• Clean teeth and apply fluoride.
• Educate patients on proper teeth care.
• Provide instructions after procedures.
• Take X-rays or dental impressions.
• Assist dentists with treatment planning.
• Maintain patient charts and documentation.
• Monitor suppliers.
