Job summary

The Department of Preventive and Restorative Dentistry at the University of the Pacific invites applications for a part-time pre-clinical/clinical faculty position, up to 2 days per week, 40 weeks per year, to teach IPT curriculum and supervise student care in the Dugoni School clinic.

Requirements include DDS/DMD or international equivalent, completion from an accredited dental school, CPR certification, and ability to work with diverse learners.

• Knowledge of dental school educational processes.
• Restorative and preventive information and technique.
• Dental materials and emerging digital applications to clinical restorative treatment.

Responsibilities

• Teach the Integrated Pre-clinical Technique (IPT) curricular strand.
• Participate in outcomes assessment and peer evaluation to improve content.
• Assist in setting standards of care for Dugoni School of Dentistry students.
• Participate in mandatory faculty calibration and development in pre-clinical areas.
• Supervise students providing clinical care in the Dugoni School clinic.
• Participate in mandatory faculty calibration and development in clinical areas.
