Smile Brands Inc. is seeking a part-time Specialty Dental Assistant to support the Oral Surgery and Orthodontic teams in a Washington office.

You’ll assist during procedures, prepare instruments, and maintain a clean, organized workspace while delivering high-quality patient care. Ideal candidates have a Washington Registered Dental Assistant license, CPR/BLS, and solid knowledge of dental terminology, infection control, OSHA/HIPAA standards, plus strong communication and a caring demeanor to

Qualifications

Washington Registered Dental Assistant license active.
Current CPR/BLS certification active.
Knowledge of dental terminology, infection control, and OSHA/HIPAA standards.

Responsibilities

Float between Oral Surgeon and Orthodontist during procedures.
Prepare patients for surgery and provide pre‑op and post‑op instructions.
Assist during surgical procedures, including extractions, implants, bone grafts, and IV sedation.
Place and remove arch wires and orthodontic auxiliaries as allowed by state rules.
Sterilize instruments and equipment before, during, and after treatment.
Take digital dental X-rays using DEXIS software.
Provide chairside assistance and keep patients informed.
Record medical histories and treatment plans in the dental software.
Manage instruments and pass tools to the dentist as needed.
Educate patients on post‑treatment care and oral hygiene.
