Job summary

The Smilist in Middle Island, NY is seeking a reliable, friendly Dental Assistant to join our growing team and support exceptional patient care. We offer a part-time schedule with hours on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays and a competitive hourly pay range.

In this role, you will help patients feel comfortable, prepare treatment rooms, and assist doctors and hygienists. You will maintain a clean, safe clinical environment and contribute to a positive patient experience.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Dental Assistant.
• Knowledge of dental instruments, equipment, procedures, and infection control.
• Dentrix experience preferred, but not required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Help patients feel comfortable and confident during visits.
• Prepare patients for treatment and assist doctors during procedures.
• Maintain a clean, sterile clinical environment.
• Escort patients to and from the front desk and support a positive experience.
• Prepare and organize instrument trays and treatment rooms for procedures.
• Monitor supplies and assist with ordering restocking.
• Follow infection control, sterilization, and safety protocols.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
